Not exactly a flying start to A Flying Jatt

A Flying Jatt starring Tiger Shroff and Jacqueline Fernandez garnered Rs 7.1 crore on Day 1. It's not a small budget film and the producers (Balaji Motion Pictures) expect that the collections will pick up today and tomorrow.

It is difficult to conclude as of now on why the film has drawn lesser than Tiger's last release (Sajid Nadiadwala's Baaghi, which fetched nearly Rs 12 crore on its first day, 11.94 to be precise).

One school of thought is that the second half of the film is weak and preachy.

There were no other big releases
this Friday, which means the film gets a one-week window to run solo until September 2, when Sonakshi Sinha's Akira hits theatres.

Made on a budget of Rs 50 crore (inclusive of Rs. 10 crore for promotions), the Remo D'souza action film has already recovered Rs 20 crore from its satellite rights deal.

Let's wait and watch what happens
 on Friday, Saturday & Sunday.
