SpotboyE Editor Vickey Lalwani rated the film with 2.5 stars and wrote in his review, “A very engaging first half and a cup of hot tea in the interval drove me back inside with a lot of hope. But wait! Had I entered another film starring Sara Ali Khan and Kartik Aaryan? No, I knew I hadn't when I soon saw Randeep Hooda too on screen. However, one thing was certain. Imtiaz Ali was spiraling his labour of love downward and mind you, I hadn't finished half my chai till then. Kartik Aaryan has a difficult role which does not require him to go over the top at any stage, but I think he underplayed it a bit too much. However, I still think he did justice to whatever was asked from him.” (ALSO READ: Filmfare Awards 2020: Kartik Aaryan Announces Love Aaj Kal 2030 With Ranveer Singh; Sara Ali Khan's Doesn't Seem To Be Very Pleased)
