Raees Vs Kaabil is turning out to be quite an interesting clash with both films running a hot race at the box-office.
Day 4 collections have come in and they suggest that Hrithik Roshan-Yami Gautam starrer Kaabil has shown a remarkable jump in its Saturday collections. The revenge drama registered Rs 13.54 crore on Day 4 at the box-office taking the total collection of the film Rs 52.41 crore.
Raees, on the other hand, continues its steady pace at the ticket windows and pocketed Rs 15.61 crore on Day 4. Taran Adarsh tweeted about the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer and wrote, “#Raees is EXCELLENT... Wed 20.42 cr, Thu 26.30 cr, Fri
13.11 cr, Sat 15.61 cr. Total: ₹ 75.44 cr. India biz (sic).”

Kaabil had registered a minor drop in its Friday collections (collected Rs 9.77 crore), but it is back in the game and how! As compared to Raees, it has shot up by a bigger margin. It’s great news for the makers considering the film has been allotted 40% screens as opposed to Raees which got 60%.
Here is the break-up of the 4 days collections (Wed-Thu-Fri-Saturday) for both the films:
RAEES
Day 1: Rs 20.42 cr
Day 2: Rs 26.30 cr
Day 3: Rs 13.11 cr
Day 4: Rs 15.61 cr
KAABIL
Day 1: Rs 10.43 cr
Day 2: Rs 18.67 cr
Day 3: Rs 9.77 cr
Day 4: Rs 13.54 cr
So, the grand total of the first four days stands at- Rs 75.44 cr for Raees and Rs 52.41 cr for Kaabil.
There is strong word of mouth for both Raees and Kaabil. Social media is also abuzz with their decent run at the box-office.
However, Rakesh Roshan and Hrithik Roshan were taken aback by a shocking turnaround in the no. of shows distributed between Raees and Kaabil. The division of shows between Kaabil and Raees changed to 45-55 and 40-60 across cinemas, instead of the decided 50-50 ratio, on the day of release.
Let’s wait for the Sunday collection figures to ascertain which film will finally win the battle!
