Box-Office Collection, Day 2: Baadshaho Going Strong, Makes Rs 15.60 Crore

Milan Luthria's directorial Baadshaho starring Ajay Devgn, Ileana D’Cruz, Emraan Hashmi, Esha Gupta and Vidyut Jammwal opened to a gripping box-office figure of Rs 12.03 crore.

Now, the film has gained momentum on Day 2 and collected Rs 15.60 crore, taking the total collections of the film to Rs 27.63 crore.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to share the box-office collection. He tweeted "#Baadshaho has a ROCKING Sat... Fri 12.03 cr, Sat 15.60 cr. Total: ₹ 27.63 cr. India biz."


The strong opening can be credited to wholesome promotions the team did across the city because if we talk about the reviews, it’s been lukewarm. While the two-day figures surely indicate that Team Baadshaho has succeeded in creating the right buzz for the film, the reviews from critics and masses makes us wonder if the road ahead would be as smooth for makers.

Author and SpotboyE.com’s reviewer Khalid Mohamed praised Ajay Devgn and Emraan Hashmi’s performances but labelled Ileana as expressionless. He further said, “Frankly, with so much violence, overwritten wisecracks, desert stretches; camel-inhabited vistas and menacing close-ups of the golden guys and girls, the outcome stretches on till goldom come.”

Ajay Devgn and Milan Luthria did wonders when they got together for the gangster drama, Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai. And now it appears like the duo's magic is surely working out fine at the box-office.
