By far this year, many films have come and gone but only a few managed to win the hearts of the viewers. With the year almost coming to an end, the cinema lovers have been treated with many films which not only made great numbers at the box-office collections but also impressed fans. As the films with a good storyline and stellar performances by the actors are being acclaimed, the winners this year are stars Akshay Kumar, Hrithik Roshan, Shahid Kapoor, Ayushmann Khurrana, Vicky Kaushal, and others whose films have emerged to be the biggest hits of the year 2019.

Everyone loves a good film and with an interesting plot and an actor playing his part well, the film has to make greats numbers at the box-office. With several releases this year, only a few films emerged in the top list of the Box-office collection report. With stars Akshay Kumar, Hrithik Roshan, Shahid Kapoor, Ayushmann Khurrana, Vicky Kaushal, Salman Khan, and Sushant Singh Rajput and their releases this year, 2019 has proved to be the best year for these Bollywood actors. Akshay Kumar Biggest Hit- Housefull 4 (Rs 197.68 crore and counting)
The Housefull 4 is the ultimate King of Bollywood this year with his multiple releases. The actor has had films Kesari and Mission Mangal for which he was well acclaimed and has managed to keep the best for the last. With Housefull 4 considering Kumar’s last release this year, the film has collected a great number at the Box-Office and is continuing to do so. According to a report in TOI, Housefull 4 has minted a total of Rs 197. 68 crore and counting, whereas films Kesari collected Rs 151. 87 crore and Mission Mangal minting Rs 192. 67 crore. With a total collection of Rs 542. 22 crore, Akshay Kumar’s film’s box-office collection is topping the list.


Hrithik Roshan Biggest Hit- WAR (Rs 291.97 crore)
Hrithik Roshan has won hearts with his stellar performances this year in films ‘Super 30’ and ‘WAR’. With Roshan’s high-octane action sequences in the film, to his sexy moves grooving to the songs, the WAR hero has left fans amused with his potential. With War collecting Rs 291.97 crore and Super 30 minting Rs 147 crore at the Box-office, the actor's films have managed to collect a total of Rs 438. 97 crore this year, putting him in the second position in the report.


Shahid Kapoor Biggest Hit- Kabir Singh (Rs 276.34 crore)
Shahid Kapoor broke records when he hit the audience with his performance in the Sandeep Reddy Vanga film. The actor has clearly proved his caliber by perfectly portraying the role of Kabir Singh, an alcoholic and hot-headed person. Shahid’s hard work paid off with the film collecting a total of Rs 276.34 crore this year. Being Kapoor’s solo film this year, amidst the controversies around the film, Shahid Kapoor has managed to win hearts and top charts being on the third position. The film Kabir Singh has been registered as Kapoor’s biggest solo release of his career.


Ayushmann Khurrana Biggest Hit- Dream Girl (Rs 139.31 crore)
Khurrana has been on a run and the actor does not seem to hold the brakes. With his versatility skills, Ayushmann Khurrana has charmed the audiences in all his films this year. As Ayushmann has had three releases this year, the actor has managed to entertain the audience with his stellar performance and versatility. With releases Article 15, Dream Girl, and Bala,  Ayushmann’s latest release ‘Bala’ is running strong at ticket counters. Khurrana’s quirky and witty performance in Dream Girl has minted the film Rs 139. 31 crores, Article 15 with Rs 65. 17 crore and Bala collecting Rs 59. 50 crore in just five days, the actor’s total collection of films is Rs 263.98 crore and counting further.


Vicky Kaushal Biggest Hit- Uri: The Surgical Strike (Rs 244 crore)
Vicky Kaushal stunned the cinema lovers with his performance in the Aditya Dhar film. The actor was seen playing the part of an army officer and nailed at it. With Kaushal and his heart-touching and powerful act in the film, the actor has bagged a National Film Award for Best Actor. The film minted a total of Rs 244 crore at the Box-office and managed to bring up patriotism in the viewers.


Salman Khan Biggest Hit- Bharat (Rs 197.34 crore)
Salman Khan treats his fans every year with a film. With Khan never disappointing fans, Bhaijaan’s film Bharat co-starring Katrina Kaif was a winner to watch the actor romance the actress. Meanwhile, with Salman and Katrina’s chemistry, the film raked great numbers at the Box-office being Bhai’s Eid 2019 release. Salman’s last film Race 3 did not do well at the Box-office, but the actor’s comeback with ‘Bharat’ minting Rs 197.34 crore at the Box-office has been one of the biggest blockbusters of the year.


Sushant Singh Rajput Biggest Hit- Chhichhore (Rs 147.32 crore)
With Sushant Singh Rajput garnering his position in the Top 10 grossing films of the year, the actor has managed to carve his niche in Bollywood. With back to back stunner performances, Sushant Singh’s performance in the college-life based drama was entertaining. As the actor co-starred alongside Shraddha Kapoor in pivotal roles, with his stellar performance, Sushant managed to help the audience face the reality of the fast-moving lives we live in. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Chhichhore collected a total of Rs 147.32 crore is one of the biggest hits this year.

With Bollywood coming up with back-to-back releases in the upcoming year, the fate of the many powerful scripts in the pipeline will depend on the box-office collection.
