Bharat Box-Office Collection, Day 1: Salman Khan-Katrina Kaif’s Biggest EID Release Untouched By India Vs South Africa World Cup 2019 Match
Salman Khan and Ali Abbas Zafar have done it again. After delivering a smashing hit, Sultan, this duo has nailed it with Bharat too. Besides Salman Khan’s ardent fans, the critics too have given the film, thumbs up! And what more? The Day 1 collection at box-office is screaming out its success as well.

This Katrina Kaif-Salman Khan starrer has garnered Rs 42.3 crore at the ticket windows on Day 1, making it Salman Khan’s biggest Eid release. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted the numbers and wrote, “Top 5 *Day 1* biz... 2019 releases... 1. #Bharat ₹ 42.30 cr [Wed] 2. #Kalank ₹ 21.60 cr [Wed] 3. #Kesari ₹ 21.06 cr [Thu] 4. #GullyBoy ₹ 19.40 cr [Thu] 5. #TotalDhamaal ₹ 16.50 cr [Fri] Note: HINDI films. India biz.”

While Bharat is getting a positive response all across, what also cannot be ignored is that the film collided with India’s World cup 2019 match against South Africa. In spite of India being extremely high on Cricket fever, this Salman Khan starrer has proved its worth.

Meanwhile, Salman Khan too has thanked his million fans for giving him his career’s biggest opening. The superstar tweeted, “Big thk u sabko fr giving sabse bada opening mere career ka par what made me the happiest & proudest is ki during a scene in my film jab national anthem is recited ev1 stood up as a mark of respect. There could be no bigger respect for our country than this... Jai Hind #Bharat”

SpotboyE.com Editor Vickey Lalwani rated the film 3 stars and wrote, “There are moments of swagger, romance, anger and dance- and full marks to Mr Khan for that. I quite liked him. His swag, in particular in this one, is worth whistles. Loved the bike ride in 'maut ka kua' when he is 20. Loved his look and hoarse voice when he turns 70. Loved the zeal he depicts in solving the problems of everyone around him. Loved his shyness when Katrina Kaif gets often bold with him. Flashes of Amitabh Bachchan's role in Hum (but not aided by as good a background score as Mukul Anand's entertainer).”

This is just Day 1 collection, let’s see how the film performs over the weekend. And if it sets new records or not?
