Badla, Box-Office Collection, Day 1: Wow! Amitabh Bachchan-Taapsee Pannu Beat Pink Record
Badla starring Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu in main roles has started off on a fairly decent note at the box-office. It has beaten the opening day figures of their last film Pink
This week's release Badla, a crime mystery thriller has begun on a decent note at the box-office. The movie minted Rs 5.04 crore on day one. It beat the first day business of Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu's last project together, Pink which had collected Rs 4.32 crore. It's a healthy figure for Badla considering the medium size budget plus the word-of-mouth is good. It has received good reviews and it is clear that the two have not disappointed.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, "#Pink versus #102NotOut versus #Badla... Opening Day biz:
2019: #Badla ₹ 5.04 cr
2016: #Pink ₹ 4.32 cr
2018: #102NotOut ₹ 3.52 cr
India biz."

It's also a good sign for filmmaker Sujoy Ghosh as he somewhat had lost his way with his earlier films like Kahaani 2, Te3n. Taapsee leaves a mark, yet again. It's a big achievement for someone who doesn't have a Godfather in the industry, who has always been frank to say that she did not belong to any camps. This morning, she even said, "I'm an average Indian girl, who isn't extraordinarily good-looking." We love such frank people. It's always talent that counts in the end.

Praises for Amitabh Bachchan will be an understatement. Big B always surpasses his previous performances. SpotboyE.com rated Badla 3.5 stars and our Editor Vickey Lalwani was all praises for the lead actors. He wrote, "Watch Taapsee Pannu's umpteen facial tweaks exactly as the situation demands with reference to what she's telling Bachchan. Watch Bachchan's belief and disbelief both when he reacts to the various chapters in her story. Action and reaction between the lawyer Bachchan and his client Taapsee is the spine of this Hindi adaptation of The Invisible Guest." In case, you missed our review, CLICK BELOW:
