Baahubali 2 Becomes Highest Grossing Indian Film Ever; Earns Rs 925 Crore In One Week

It won’t be wrong to say that SS Rajamouli has finally achieved success in creating a monster of a film called Baahubali 2: The Conclusion.

Baahubali: The Beginning amassed Rs 650 Crore at the box-office. The sequel, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion has already amassed Rs 925 Crore worldwide in just 8 days. Trade Expert Ramesh Bala tweeted the figures a while back:

The film has overtaken the previous highest grossing record set by Aamir Khan's PK (2014). PK had amassed Rs 792 Crore and Dangal (2016) stood second at Rs 730 Crore in the overall worldwide box-office collections.

However, Baahubali 2 has grossed Rs 745 Crore, just in India.

The Hindi dubbed version of the movie has crossed Rs 247 Crore in just 7 days. It has beaten all previous records set by Salman Khan's Sultan (2016) and Aamir Khan's Dangal (2016) and PK (2014).

Baahubali 2 has got great reviews from critics all over. It's not only the grandeur but also the content that everyone is talking about. Director SS Rajamouli celebrated the success of the film in London last evening, as he is there to be a part of BBC's talk show sharing his experience of making India's biggest film.

With no movies releasing until May 12, Baahubali 2 has another whole week to have a seamless run at the ticket counters across the nation.
