Full review - M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story

The film starts with 2011 World Cup final match and then goes in flashback and thus starts the journey of Mahendra Singh Dhoni. What follows is Dhoni's story through hurdles, rejections, job of ticket collector, beautifully supported by a lovely family, good friends, supporting coach, brief but moving love story and finally earning the coveted blue Indian jersey.

The story from there on is about a player who transforms into a captain and takes some tough calls.

Towards the end, the film circles back to what it had started with, that is captain cool creating history with his iconic sixer over long on and winning the cricket world cup for India after 28 years.

Taking about performances, Sushant Singh is good and believable as Dhoni. Supporting cast that included Anupam Kher, Bhumika Chawla, Disha Patani, Rajesh Sharma and Kiara Advani to name a few, contributed beautifully.

The film has moments from cricket history but they'll still hit you as if you are watching them for the first time. The film is long but leaves an impression on you and strikes your emotional cord. The film's flow is smooth.

Mahi's passion for bikes is subtly put forth and the discovery of his famous helicopter shot is something his fans wouldn't wanna miss.

I give 3.5 stars to MS Dhoni: The Untold Story.
