First Day Box-Office Collections: Sushant Singh Rajput & Kriti Sanon's Raabta Makes Rs 5.61 Crore Only
Well, it certainly isn’t a WOW opening at all. Sushant Singh Rajput-Kriti Sanon’s Raabta opened up to the box-office with a very average figure and we’re sure makers will not be very happy with it...
Sushant Singh Rajput and Kriti Sanon’s sizzling hot chemistry, a series of controversies, a bunch of link-up rumours and denials- after all of this, when Raabta finally hit theatres yesterday, it received extremely poor reviews from the janta.
Clearly, that’s reflecting in Raabta’s first day box-office collection as well.
Trade Expert Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to share the box-office collections. The film managed to earn just Rs. 5.61 cr.

Considering Raabta was promoted extensively and had a decent lead pair, a lot more was expected from it. Also, with Sushant and Kriti's real life romance giving it the required time to time thrust, the film should have managed to get a better footfall on its first day. Sadly, that didn't happen.
Weekend doesn’t seem promising either. The word-of-mouth for the film isn't great. Critics have slammed the film as well. Theatre owners are of the opinion that the film will have a tough time picking it up through the weekend.
We spoke to Gaurav, Chief Spokesperson of Carnival Cinemas, last evening who said, "New releases are not good at all. Bad word-of-mouth is causing collections at ticket windows to dip. Not expecting a great box-office collection."
Trade Expert Taran Adarsh also expressed his views when we spoke to him yesterday by the end of the day. He summed up his review in one line and said, "The weather outside is hot, but the theatres are completely thanda."
Now, let’s see how much will Sushant Singh Rajput and Kriti Sanon’s fan following help in bettering the collections over the weekend. We have very less hope.
