"If Salman Listens To, Or Gets Controlled By Anybody- It's Salim Khan," Says Bharat Director Ali Abbas Zafar
Ahead of the Eid release Bharat, SpotboyE.com engaged in an exclusive interview with director Ali Abbas Zafar who spoke about Salman Khan, his relationship with his father, Katrina Kaif, Priyanka Chopra's sudden exit and much more
Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif have been avidly promoting their Eid release Bharat all over. So, it is the right time to speak with the director of the film, Ali Abbas Zafar. We caught up with the filmmaker at Yash Raj Studios, which can be called as his second home, considering he began his directorial career with the 2011 release Mere Brother Ki Dulhan which was a YRF production.
While his earlier two films, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan and Gunday bombed at the box-office, he catapulted to massive success with Sultan and Tiger Zinda Hai. Now, he is geared up to reunite with Salman Khan for the third time with Bharat and as we got talking, he discussed everything about the film, to the controversies it suffered. Zafar spoke about how did the film happen, then we asked him about incorporating any changes in his style of filmmaking. Also, considering the fact that Salman’s recent two films, Tubelight and Race 3 didn’t work, we were keen to know if he was a tad worried about the fate of this film. WATCH THE FULL INTERVIEW BELOW:
The movie made headlines when Priyanka Chopra walked out and Katrina Kaif was brought in as her replacement. The filmmaker even addressed the controversy and speaking about the father-son relationship between Salim-Salman Khan, Zafar said, “Because the film is about the relationship between a father and son, Salman's equation with his father is one of the purest relationships I have seen. If he listens to anyone and if he gets controlled by anyone, it is Salim Khan and somewhere or the other the bond that I see between them, I could see it very clearly in my film.”
Bharat is scheduled to release on June 5, 2019. The movie also stars Disha Patani, Jackie Shroff, Tabu, Sunil Grover in pivotal parts. Also, after this film, Salman-Kat-Ali Abbas Zafar will be reuniting for Tiger 3. SpotboyE.com had exclusively revealed that the movie will roll in January next year.
Clearly, this man seems to be unstoppable!
