Tota Roy Choudhury Shares Teaser Of His First Kannada Film ‘Ranchi’

Actor Tota Roy Choudhury has shared the official teaser of his first Kannada film ‘Ranchi’ on the social media platform. The cast also includes southern popular actors Prabhu Mundur, Sindhu Murthy and Sanjana Prakash. The film is based on the deceased Ranchi SSP Pravin Kumar.
Taking it to the Twitter, Tota wrote, “My friends. It gives me great pleasure & pride to share the teaser of my first #Kannada film #Ranchi Please watch, give us some love and spread the word. Thank you @Prabhu_Mundkur.”

Tota is essaying the role of the deceased SSP in the film. He made his film debut with Prabhat Roy's National Award winning Bengali film Lathi (1996). His breakthrough role came with Rituparno Ghosh's National Award winning Bengali film Chokher Bali (2003). He made his Bollywood debut with Sujoy Ghosh's Kahaani 2: Durga Rani Singh (2016).
He played the role of Arun in the film Kahaani 2: Durga Rani Singh which got him noticed by the Hindi film industry. His second Hindi film Indu Sarkar was released in 2017.
Tota was last seen in filmmaker Anup Sengupta's comeback film, Jaanbaaz, with Bonny Sengupta and Koushani Mukherjee in the lead. He played role of police in the film.
