Tnusree Chakraborty: I said yes to Zombiesthaan because I was curious about zombies
Tnusree Chakraborty is days away from a milestone in her career-- that of acting in the first Bengali film about zombies. The Bengali beauty is understandably excited about her upcoming project. What made her say yes to the film? Tnusree says, “It is a totally new concept in Tollywood. When I listened to the script, I was very curious to find out how the film will turn out. How would it look? That’s why I said yes to the film.”

Tnusree has of course watched Hollywood films based on zombie attacks. But she was excited to see how a Bengali film would approach the subject. “How would West Bengal look like, if it is attacked by zombies? Those are totally new visuals, a totally new situation. We have shot in virgin locations, which adds to the visual appeal of Zombiesthaan,” says Tnusree.

Zombiesthaan

The actress has a lot of action sequences in Zombiesthaan. But it was not hard for her to tackle those. “I have a great fitness routine, so I didn’t have to work extra on my fitness for the action scenes. I am always fit,” smiles Tnusree. She has adopted a no-make up, natural look in Zombiesthaan and is comfortable with this deglamourised avatar. “I have portrayed a situation where I’m one of the few survivors of an apocalypse-like situation. People go for days without a shower in such situations. They look dishevelled and unkempt. It is after all a survival story and I am very comfortable with my look in Zombiesthaan,” says Tnusree.
