OTT Will Never Replace Theaters, It Can Be An Option: Rituparna Sengupta

Entertainment industry is currently divided over the release of films on the digital platform. Cineplex’s, theater owners are demanding to stop this while on the other hand directors from Bollywood to regional are appreciating this move. Till now, three Bollywood films have been announced which will be released online.
Sharing her thoughts on the same, Tollywood actress Rituparna Sengupta said that theaters can never be replaced by OTT. “This is an option in this situation. The current situation is tough for everyone and the entertainment industry is also battling it. OTT is an option which is viable in this situation as no one knows when cinema halls will open,” she added.
Meanwhile, Rituparna Sengupta will be next seen in Bansuri directed by Hari Viswanath. She will be sharing screen space with Anurag Kashyap for the first time. She is essaying the role of a single mother. The film also stars Masood Akhtar, Upendra Limaye, Master Ankan.
The first look of the films has been released on social media. Anurag Kashyap also shared the news on his Instagram, “Happy to be associated with and to launch the First Look Posters of this beautiful film “Bansuri” directed by Hari Viswanath.”
