Nusrat Jahan, Admitted To Hospital Due To Breathing Problem, Discharged
Nusrat Jahan, after celebrating her husband Nikhil Jain’s birthday, had taken an overdose of medicine, following which her health condition deteriorated. She contested from Basirhat as a Trinamool Congress candidate
Actress turned politician Nusrat Jahan was discharged from the hospital on Monday night. She was admitted on Sunday night after she complained of breathing problem. The family members have confirmed the news.
As reported by The Times of India, a medical team was formed for her treatment after Nusrat was admitted to the hospital at around 9.30 pm. on Sunday. "She suffers from an asthma problem and uses inhaler. However, the problem became a little serious on Sunday, and using inhaler couldn’t comfort her. But she is absolutely fine now," a source close to the actress said.

Nusrat Jahan Ruhi joined active politics in 2019 and contested from Basirhat as a Trinamool Congress candidate. Jahan's screen debut was in Raj Chakraborty's Shotru. She then appeared in the film Khoka 420, under the banner Eskay Movies. Her other notable movies include Khiladi, with Ankush Hazra, Sondhe Namar Agey, with Rahul Bose and Power, with Jeet under the banner of Shree Venkatesh Films. She is an elected Member of Parliament for Basirhat. She emerged as the winner by a margin of 350,000 votes against BJP candidate Sayantan Basu.
Nusrat Jahan had been in a relationship with businessman Nikhil Jain since 2018. They got married in June 2019 in Turkey. She was also trolled for marrying Hindu and practicing Hindu rituals.
