She was recently spotted in an ethnic outfit setting major goals. Mimi shared the picture on Instagram in which she can seen wearing mustard coloured saree. "মা লক্ষীর আশীর্বাদ যেন সবার উপর বিরাজ করে," she captioned the image. The picture posted after Lokhi Puja.
Mimi has debuted with film Bapi Bari Jaa was released on 7 December 2012 in which she played the female lead, Dola. The film was produced by Prosenjit Chatterjee production house, Ideas Creations. The film was also the silver-screen debut of Arjun Chakrabarty (better known as Gora, the male protagonist from Gaaner Opaarey) who played the role of Bapi, the male lead.
Recently, she was in the news for quitting Pratim D Gupta’s film Love Aaj Kal Porshu. The actress had cited discomfort in shooting intimate scenes with co-star as the reason.
According to The Times of India report, Mimi, who is also an MP now, was quoted saying, “I am never comfortable in intimate scenes. So, why should do it now after all these years.” She rubbished the reports of her being an MP as a reason for saying no to intimate scenes.
