Katti Nrittam: Aneek Chaudhuri Unveils Handmade Official Poster Of His Malayalam Film
Director of Cactus, Aneek Chaudhuri has unveiled the official poster of his next film titled Katti Nrittam. The poster is hand-painted and it has also started his journey of a multilingual feature film. The film titled Katti Nrittam means the knife dance.

Katti Nrittam is a suspense thriller and speaks about a failed Kathakali dancer. Talking about the poster, Aneek said, “I had always wanted it to be a hand-painted one; I have a fascination for things that are not completely perfect and wanted something that would leave an open-ended suggestion for the audiences. Then, I came across Shruti, whose paintings had left a considerable impression on me. I was convinced that she was the artist I had been looking for. And, we got a wonderful piece from her.”

“Katti Nrittam was conceived when I visited Kalamandalam (Kerala) last year and I came across the various perspectives of performers,” he added.

His last film Cactus had traveled to many international film festivals and won many awards. The film is a story on Jesus Christ. The short film is divided into three eras i.e. BC, Christ era and AD. Cactus utilizes the artform of Pieta and the last Supper to derive perceptions about the origin and death of Jesus. Here, Jesus has been portrayed as a female.
Anurupa Chakraborty and Aishani De play Mother Mary in two different eras, while Aparajita Dey plays the female avatar of Jesus Christ.
