Aparna Sen’s Ghawre Bairey Aaj is winning hearts because of its story which is an apt description on modern political system. The film stars Jisshu Sengupta, Tuhina Das and Anirban Bhattacharya.

Birsa Dasgupta had also praised the film and now director Arindam Sil is also in awe of this film. He took to his official Twitter handle and wrote, “Kudos Rinadi (@senaparna ) for the fearless, on the face depiction of the present political system in Ghawre Bairey Aaj.”

The film, which was released on November 15, is set in the backdrop of Delhi where Anirban Bhattacharya is an editor of an online news website with liberal point of view. His wife is Tuhina Das. After her parent’s death at a very young age, she moved to Delhi to her grandmother who was a house help at the posh bungalow owned by Nikhilesh’s parents. In fact she was brought up by Nikhilesh’s parents who not only gave her proper education but also renamed her to Brinda to make her more acceptable in the high class society.

Later she got married to much older Nikhilesh. Jisshu Sengupta is the childhood friend of Nikhilesh who was a leftist student leader during his college days but now is a right wing nationalist leader supported by a political party with an agenda of Hinduism. There are clash of ideologies between two friends but still they share good rapport. One day Jisshu comes for a work assignment in Delhi and he preferred to stay at Anirbans home. Sandip has a contradictory nature compared to Nikhilesh, he is more radical and active and Brinda gets easily attracted towards him for this nature
