Director Pratim D Gupta Urges Reviewers Not To Reveal The Story Of The Film
Pratim D Gupta has recently released the teaser of his next upcoming film ‘Love Aaj Kal Porshu’ which stars Arjun Chakraborty and Madhumita Sarkar in the lead role. The teaser garnered appreciation from all quarters. But the director has also shared some concern regarding the film reviews.

His concern was regarding the film reviews which actually reveal everything and because of which the film losses its charm. Taking to the micro blogging site Twitter, Pratim D Gupta wrote, “Was reading a couple of reviews of Asur... Why are reviewers giving away the full plot of the movie? This is absolute basic... not to spoil the experience for the viewer. Please don't harm the film, whether you've loved it or hated it.”

In the series of tweets, he wrote “If you can't review a film without narrating the entire plot, put a disclaimer early in the review that there are spoilers in your review. That way readers have the choice whether to read your piece or not. Again, this is absolute basic.”

“I don't know how much it's true but the story goes that Vidhu Vinod Chopra once chased Khalid Mohammed on the streets of Juhu with a dagger because he had revealed that Anil Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit are killed at the end of Parinda,” he added.

Pratim's last film Shantilal O Projapoti Rohoshyo was screened at Brahmaputra Valley Film Festival. In the film, Ritwick plays Shantilal who is not a professional detective but he is a journalist in a newspaper. He turns out to be a detective when he gets involved in a mystery related to a superstar. Paoli Dam is playing the superstar role.

Meanwhile, Arjun Chakrabarty will be next seen in Abhijatrik. The film Abhijatrik is based on the last part of Bibhutibhusan Bandyopadhyay's Aparajito. The film starts where Satyajit Ray's Apu trilogy ended. Abhijatrik will take Apu's story forward.
