As reported the workers were sleeping on the railway track when the incident occurred. The train was running between Jalna and Aurangabad. An enquiry has been ordered into the incident

Aurangabad Train Accident: Actor Dev Adhikari Condoles Death Of Migrant Workers
A day after Visakhapatnam gas leak tragedy incident, at least 16 migrant workers were killed on Friday morning after a cargo train ran over them in Aurangabad city of Maharashtra. As reported the workers were sleeping on the railway track when the incident occurred. The train was running between Jalna and Aurangabad at 5.15 am. 

Ministry of Railways has ordered enquiry into the incident. Meanwhile, PM Modi also expressed grief over the death of migrant workers and tweeted, “Extremely anguished by the loss of lives due to the rail accident in Aurangabad, Maharashtra. Have spoken to Railway Minister Shri Piyush Goyal and he is closely monitoring the situation. All possible assistance required is being provided.”

Actor Dev Adhikari was one of the few Tollywood actors who tweeted on the incident. “And today train accident in Aurangabad...My condolences to the families who have lost their loved ones.I seriously don understand whn we can send flights for the people who are stuck abroad y can’t we arrange Buses n Trains for the migrant workers. Is it too much to ask for?”


Senior political leaders expressed grief on the incident and considered as tragic. Maharashtra government has announced Rs 5 lakh as the compensation for kin of the deceased family members. 
Meanwhile, Dev Adhikari will be next seen in a sports drama ‘Golondaaj’ and a romantic film ‘Kismish’.
