Actor Dev Adhikari Expresses Displeasure Over Bengali Films Not Getting Screens In Pujo
Actor Dev Adhikari has expressed displeasure over Bengali films not getting its due respect. Many other Bengali actors and directors have come out in his support and echoed the voice for the same.

On October 2, there are many big Bengali film releases and the screens are actually packed but on this day, Bollywood film War is also releasing. Many screens have been booked for the War which star Tiger Shroff and Hrithik Roshan, due to which Bengali films are unable to get the screens.

This has not gone well with Bengali film fraternity and they have raised voice against it. Actor Dev Adhikari took to his official Twitter handle and wrote, “রাজ্যের সিনেমা হল মালিকদের বলি হিন্দি ছবির থেকে বেশি নয় অন্তত সমান সুযোগ আমাদের দিন। লড়াই টা অন্তত সমানে সমানে হোক। বাংলা সিনেমার পাশে দাঁড়ান।“

He said that the regional cinema is no less than Hindi pictures. “It should get equal opportunity. The fight is at least par. Stand next to Bengali cinema,” he added.
Seeing the situation, state authorities rushed to his support and asked the PVRs to provide good number of screens to Bengali films.
