During an Instagram live chat with Kevin Pietersen, Yuvraj Singh recalled a heated argument he once had with England all-rounder Andrew Flintoff before the over that then went on to be an iconic moment in Indian cricket history. In the conversation, Yuvraj said, “I think Freddie bowled two good balls and he bowled a yorker which I managed to hit for a boundary. Then he told me that this was a dash shot, he got pretty elaborative. He said I am gonna cut your throat off and then I replied saying you see this bat in my hand? You know where I am gonna hit you with this bat? I remember I was so angry when I hit Broadie for six sixes, I looked at Dimitri Mascarenas and then I looked at Freddie.”
Recollecting the conversation about a dash shot between Flintoff and him on the field, Yuvraj revealed that he received a warning from the England all-rounder where he said that he would cut Singh’s throat off. Later, Yuvraj disclosed that in return, he went on to warn Flintoff that he also has a bat in his hand, and questioned him if he knew where he would hit it on. Then, Singh mentioned he was very angry when he hit the over for six sixes and looked at Dimitri Mascarenas and Andrew Flintoff.
