Every year many films fall prey to the online piracy, as soon as the movie hits the screens the very next day it makes its way to the internet leading to huge losses in income for the film producers. Actor Yash starrer KGF: Chapter 1, action period Kannada film released in the year 2018, was screened on a local TV channel during the lockdown, which left the producers of the film furious. The makers have confirmed of taking a legal action against the TV channel for screening the movie without proper rights and hence making this movie screening on the channel illegal.
Creative Executive Producer of the banner Homable Films, Kartik Gowda shared a picture of the movie being screened on the local TV channel, Every. In his tweet he mentioned about taking legal action against the channel. This screenshot of the movie being screened on the local channel is clear evidence against the channel currently seen in Kartik’s Tweet. Also the TV telecast deal for KGF 1 was almost freezed before the COVID-19 pandemic hit the world and got everything to a standstill.
He Tweeted, “A telugu local channel named #Every^ is playing KGF film illegally. We will move legally against them and sue for their actions. While the satellite deal is on talks and almost finalised, a cable channel does this. We have ample proof woth screen shots, videos of the same.”
