Three days ago, WWE star Shad Gaspard had gone out for a swim in Venice beach along with his 10-year-old son. As they were out swimming, a rip current hit and they were stranded. Lifeguards dived in immediately to rescue the swimmers. However, they could not locate Shad who first signaled the lifeguards to save his 10-year-old son. Now, three days after he goes missing, L.A. Fire Department has found a body whose description matches that of the WWE wrestler.
As reported by TMZ, two locals found a body washed up to the shore of the Venice beach at 1.30 am. They then called the cops who recovered the body right near Venice Pier. In a news conference held on Wednesday, the L.A. Fire Department stated that the body matches the description of the wrestler - 6'6" tall, black male who is over 240 lbs. The official Twitter handle of the Los Angeles County Fire Department, Lifeguard Division tweeted, "#PierIC at 2:19AM @lacolifeguards @LACOFD @LAPDHQ respond to #VenicePier to a report of a body along the shoreline that matches the description of Sunday’s missing swimmer. Crews on-scene extricate from the water and transfer to @lacountymec."
