He made a cryptic post, which has now raised eyebrows. The former Indian cricketer has left fans wondering if his account is hacked, or whether the tweet made by Sehwag is a marketing gimmick!
“Dropped my phone in the shower, getting it fixed, call me on 9112083319,” Virendra Sehwag tweeted on his official Twitter handle. The tweet mentioned that the cricketer has dropped his phone and is getting it fixed. A phone number was provided along with the tweet, requesting to make a call if required.
After Sehwag’s cryptic tweet, fans are nothing but clueless. One asked the cricketer, “Hi sehwag, account hacked???” Another tweeted, “Anyone don't call... I think Account has hacked. If you call then hacked will get your data...I am not sure about this but I am saying this just only for security purpose. May be @virendersehwag sir is doing some prank with us.” A third fan wrote, “Account is hacked I guess, don't call and loose your number to a scam guy,” while a fourth tweeted, “@TwitterIndia I think @virendersehwag account hacked,” requesting Twitter India to look into the matter.
While many followers continued to speculate, one user pointed out the pattern in the number mentioned in the tweet. The cricket lover replied to Sehwag’s tweet and wrote, “112 - Score in 1-wicket win while scoring most of the runs against at Auckland, 2004; 083 - Score in famous chase at Chennai; 319 - Highest Test score.” He noted the cricketer’s best scores till date, trying to decode Virendra Sehwag’s tweet. In the tweet, he heaped praises of athlete Kamalpreet Kaur, who participated in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. He also said he is a big fan of her. “I have become your fan #KamalpreetKaur. No medal, but What a wonderful effort. Aapne discuss throw mein hazaaron logon ki ruchi bada di. Medal bhi jald milenge aapko,” the cricketer had tweeted, reacting to a report by The Tribune.
