Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli’s new look in his latest interview with Mayank Agarwal left his fans starry-eyed and praising him. Now the BCCI Twitter account has tweeted a short video clip from the interview where the handsome cricketer is heard talking about his mother Saroj Kohli’s reaction when he began to lead a healthy life, which made him look leaner and thinner. Thus, constantly getting his mother worried and she thought Virat is unwell. In his conversation, he also revealed how he had to keep explaining his mother about the same every alternate day.
He says, “My mom used to tell me that I’m becoming weak, that’s a very regular thing any mother would say that ke itna kamjor ho gaya hai kuch khata nahi hai. So they didn’t understand the difference between having concern and you know having professionalism for the sport that you are playing. If the child is not looking chubby matlab koi toh problem hai ya toh who bimar hai woh. Every second day, I had to convince her that I’m not sick, mereko kuch nahi hua hai, main yeh sab khelne ki wajah se kar raha hu. Mereko apna routine discipline main lana hai it was so difficult to convince her.”
As he mentioned, it was difficult for the cricketer to convince his mother that he was not weak or ill, it was at times funnier but annoying too. He further adds, “So yeah that was funny at times, but also at times annoying at times because you are following a regime and then agle din uthke you hear this tu toh bimar lag raha hai. You feel poure din ki mehnat pe ek baat mein bimar bol diya.”
