On January 11, 2021, Indian cricket team skipper, Virat Kohli and his wife-actress Anushka Sharma welcomed their first child, daughter Vamika. The couple post then has been on cloud nine, they also dropped her first picture, but did not reveal her face. Today just two hours ago, the cricketer dropped a picture of him from the cricket field, giving a glimpse of him getting back to work. Seen in his cricket gear, the cricketer is all geared up for the England tour.

Sharing the picture of him a day before the test series commenced, he wrote in his caption, “The work goes on,” followed by fist emoji. This 2nd England-India test series will be played between the teams from February 13- February 17, 2021 on Chennai’s M.A. Chidambaram Stadium. The cricketer who was on paternity leave by giving a miss to Australia- India test series, was quizzed how he left to miss out on the important series during a recent press conference.

Replying to which, he had said, though the connection with his team doesn’t go away; the experience of embracing parenthood shall remain the greatest moment of his life.

He said, “To me, to become a father has been and will remain the greatest moment of my life. That is something that has to be experienced to understand what I am saying. The connection with the team doesn’t go away in any situation, especially when you have given everything for the team, especially for the Test team for the last six years daily.
