It’s a season of celebration as the Ambani family and the Merchant family are all set to become one. Childhood sweethearts Anant and Radhika got engaged in a lavish traditional Gujarati ceremony on Thursday evening in Antilia. The grand ceremony of Gol Dhana and Chunari Vidhi was attended by their families, friends and who's who of Bollywood. However, the highlight of the ceremony became Ambani’s pet dog, who was the ring bearer for the couple.
As per the videos going viral on the internet, the pet dog gets called on the stage by Anant’s elder sister Isha, after everyone starts wondering where the rings are. Once called on stage, the adorable pooch runs up to his owners and receives a lot of pets and snuggles. After which Mukesh and Nita Ambani lead the entire family into a surprise dance for the happy couple. For the unversed, Anant’s fiance Radhika, is the daughter of Encore Healthcare CEO Viren Merchant and Shaila Merchant. Both the families had gotten together for the Roka ceremony at the Shrinathji Temple at Nathdwara in Rajasthan on December 29. On Tuesday, they had also hosted a close-knit pre-engagement mehendi ceremony, where the trained Bharatnatyam dancer opted for a hot pink custom-made, multi-colour silk lehenga with embroidered floral booties and mirrors. Her entire outfit was designed by Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla.
Talking about the guests, Shah Rukh Khan, Aryan khan, Gauri Khan, Salman Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Aaradhya Bachchan, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and many others arrived at the grand ceremony to bless the happy couple.
While the details of the upcoming nuptials are yet to be revealed, the childhood sweethearts will be getting married in a lavish ceremony.
