Clearly, inflation can be a real pain! But, the government is trying its best to keep the price hike of commodities in check. Well, that does not seem to be working as of now. Products can be really pricy in places like airports and their cost can increase 5-8 times higher than the local market.

Despite the claims of putting inflation in control in the country, the prices continue to soar exponentially, and a netizen has proof of the same.

A real-life incident was shared by a journalist, who reportedly took a dig at the BJP-led government’s “achhe din” tag and shared two images featuring how she had to spend ₹490 at Chhattrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, a.k.a. Mumbai airport for two samosas (snacks), one chai (tea) and one water bottle.

Farah Khan, a journalist, took to Twitter and wrote, “Two samosas, one chai and one water bottle for 490 ₹at Mumbai airport!! Kafi ache din aa gae hain.”

In no time, her tweet went viral and people were quick to comment on the same. A few exampled their experiences and shared their opinions.

A user gave the example of Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport and boasted about its affordability. Another quoted from a news article that showed why prices at outlets at the airport are significantly higher than those outside.

Meanwhile, a few Twitteraties also suggested she find cheaper options for food and travel. While another pointed out that the situation is quite similar at the Hyderabad airport.

The sharp spike in commodities is certainly much debated as to how the same food costs different in places.
