With Coronavirus cases on the rise, and with the increasing number of positive cases, it is very important people stay indoors and take all necessary precautions and follow WHO guidelines if at all they have to go outside for emergency purposes. Face masks and gloves are very important to fight the pandemic. However, a youth from Madhya Pradesh, in his TikTok videos, ridiculed and mocked the use of face masks, saying ‘trust in god not in a piece of cloth’. This man has now tested positive for Coronavirus.

This TikTok user’s no-mask video had gone viral, and in the video, someone asks him, “Are bhai, virus ke wajah se mask nahi pahente (brother, why don’t you wear a mask)?" To which, he replies with, “Is kapde ke tukde pe kya bharosa karna, karna hai toh us upar wale pe karo (why trust this piece of cloth, trust in God)."  According to TOI, this man is an electrician and amid the lockdown, he has been distributing vegetables to the needy for free. Local sources informed that he went around without a mask, distributing vegetables to help people.

Now, in his latest TikTok video from the hospital in Sagar, he can be seen saying, “Doctors have declared me corona-positive. Please continue to support me and pray for me. I will not be able to post TikTok videos from now on.” His phone has now been taken away, and it was on Friday that he tested positive for COVID-19 and was admitted to Bundelkhand Medical College in Sagar, MP.

The report quotes the Dean of the medical college, Dr. GS Patel, saying, “The youth’s contact history is being traced to identify other people.” ALSO READ: COVID-19 Outbreak: Mumbai’s NSCI Dome, Which Hosts Filmfare, IIFA, Turns Into Observation Facility; Hrithik And Others Applaud
