Miley Cyrus has been tackling social stigmas with her songs and avant-garde outfits. She is undoubtedly one of the most influential personalities and has a humongous fan following amidst the young generation. While many look up to her for her iconic fashion statements, her savage replies on the controversies often take over the internet and fans cannot get over her charismatic personality.

To sum it up, Miley Cyrus is real, raw and unapologetic! Her fans love her for being the way she is, but in this one instance she was at her unapologetic best and it just gets better.

Miley shot to fame in 2008 with her show Hannah Montana, and she went on to inspire many teenagers back then. Her huge stardom brought her an offer to be on the cover of Vanity Fair. The singer was just 15 years old, and she was photographed by Annie Leibovitz in nothing but a sheet and it ultimately sparked major controversy.

Miley stripped for Vanity Fair’s magazine cover and she was nearly nude at the age of 15. The Hannah Montana star was photographed by Annie Leibovitz in nothing but a sheet and it turned out to be a major controversy for her. Owing to her fanbase, the singer-actor faced heavy backlash for posing nearly nude and was later asked to issue an apology.

A Page Six report quoted Miley saying, “I appreciate all the support from my fans and hope they understand that along the way I am going to make mistakes, I am not perfect. I never intended for any of this to happen, I am truly sorry if I have disappointed anyone.”

Many assumed that her apology was due to the pressure of living up to the wholesome image of Hannah Montana.

However, in 2018, ten years after the controversy, Miley Cyrus rescinded her apology and she took to Twitter and New York post and wrote, “I Am Not Sorry.” She also added ‘F*ck you!’.

Years later, Miley Cyrus’ fans loved the change in her and lauded her for taking back her apology. However, in 2008, going nearly-nude on the magazine cover at the age of 15, was a huge deal leaving her fans upset.

Now, Cyrus has evolved as a person and she is loved for her new version.
