Tamil Actress Khushbu Sundar Clarifies Her Co-Actor Meena's Husband Vidyasagar Didn’t Die Due To Covid-19, Asks ‘Media To Be Little Responsible’

Veteran South actress Meena is left heartbroken and numb as her husband Vidyasagar passed away. On Monday, he breathed his last in Chennai due to lung-related complications. Reportedly, Vidyasagar was undergoing treatment for lungs for the past several months but his condition got worsened after he tested positive for Covid 19.  Recently, Meena’s co-actor and close friend Khushbu Sundar clarified that Vidyasagar didn’t die due to Covid-19. She explained that Meena’s husband contracted the virus three months ago and it worsened his lungs.

In her post, Khushbu also requested media to be a 'little more responsible'. While offering her condolences, she tweeted, “Waking up to a terrible news. Heartbroken to learn actor Meena's husband, Sagar, is no more with us. He was battling lung ailment for long. Heart goes out to Meena n her young daughter. Life is cruel. At loss of words to express grief. Deepest condolences to the family (sic).”



In another- follow-up post, Khushbu added, “I very humbly request the media to be little responsible. Meena's husband had Covid 3 months back. Covid worsened his lung condition. Pls do not send out a wrong message & create any kind of fear or cause flutter by saying we lost Sagar to Covid. Yes we need to be cautious, but pls.”

Many prominent actors like superstar Rajinikanth, who had acted with Meena in several movies, paid homage to her late husband. He visited her residence in Chennai to pay his last respects.

For the unversed, Vidyasagar was a businessman. In 2009, he got married to Meena and they have a daughter Nainika together.
