Ace filmmaker SS Rajamouli has finally broken his silence on his old comment that 'Hrithik Roshan is ‘nothing in front of Prabhas.’ For the unversed, Rajamouli once compared Hrithik with South superstar Prabhas and said Bollywood’s Greek God is nothing in front of him. The filmmaker received severe criticism on social media for the same and the old video of his comment is now doing the rounds on social media. SS Rajamouli at a recent event reacted to the same and admitted his choice of words was wrong.

The Baahubali director clarified that his intention was never to degrade Hrithik as he respects him a lot. Speaking on the sidelines of the red carpet of the New York Film Critics Circle Awards, Rajamouli said, “It was long, long back... I think some 15-16 years back. But yeah, my choice of words of mine wasn’t good, I must admit it. My intention was never to degrade him, I respect him a lot. It is long back.” ALSO READ: Golden Globes 2023: Jr NTR And Ram Charan Starrer RRR WINS Best Original Song For ‘Naatu Naatu’ Against Taylor Swift’s ‘Carolina

In the old video which recently resurfaced on Reddit, the filmmaker could be heard saying, “When Dhoom 2 released two years ago, I wondered why only Bollywood can make such quality films. Don’t we have heroes like Hrithik Roshan? I just saw the songs, poster, and trailer of Billa, and I can only say one thing. Hrithik Roshan is nothing in front of Prabhas. I’d like to thank Meher Ramesh (director) for taking Telugu cinema to Hollywood level.”

Meanwhile, SS Rajamouli is riding high on the success of his magnum opus RRR. The Telugu film recently won a Golden Globe award for Best Original Song for Naatu Naatu beating Hollywood singers. Jr NTR and Ram Charan starrer was also featured in a list of 301 movies that were eligible to be nominated for the upcoming Oscars 2023.
