From a couple of days, there have been speculations that recently an income tax raid was conducted at South superstar Nagarjuna’s office and house. The reports stated how the income tax officials conducted a search at Ramanaidu Studios in Hyderabad, which belongs to Telugu film producer Daggubati Suresh Babu and his family. In fact, a source close to the officials had opened up on the raid to PTI, “Searches are being conducted at the residences and offices of Suresh Babu. They are part of the verification of records.”

Now, the actor himself has addressed this controversy and, according to Nagarjuna, it’s news to him as well. Taking to his Twitter account, Nagarjuna wrote that a lot of his friends have been quizzing him about the income tax department raid; however, no such thing has happened at his place or in his offices. “Quite a few of my friends Have been calling me and asking me if I had raid from the income tax department!! This is news to me no such raid has happened on me or my offices. FYI,” wrote the actor.

We hope this brings an end to all the speculations floating around!

On the work front, Nagarjuna will be seen in Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra, which also stars Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan and Mouni Roy in the lead roles. In the film, Nagarjuna is reportedly essaying the character of an archaeologist. A source close to the film’s development told to Mumbai Mirror, “An important event leads Shiva and Isha to Nagarjuna. The story unfolds in the ancient temple city before moving to the Himalayas. The film’s antagonists, Mouni Roy and Saurav Gurjar, also come into play because of Nagarjuna’s track. The adventure kicks off after all of them come face-to-face in Varanasi. A high-octane action sequence featuring them was shot earlier in the year.”
