Shark Tank India is returning with its exciting second season and several promos from the new season are already out. The makers have already locked their sharks for the business reality show and announced their names by releasing a teaser on social media. However, the former BharatPe co-founder Ashneer Grover was missing, and later it was revealed he has been replaced by a new shark Amit Jain, who is a CEO and Co-founder - Cardekho Group, InsuranceDekho.com. Now, Namita Thapar has reacted to Ashneer’s ouster from the second season.
She took to her Twitter handle and shared the promo of the new season and indirectly addressed Ashneer's absence from the show. In her tweet, she mentioned that one person doesn't make or break a show. Namita, the Executive Director of Emcure Pharmaceuticals, tweeted, “One person doesn't make or break a show... not me, not anybody... this show is about celebrating our entrepreneurs, job creators... it's about teaching masses business concepts through beautiful stories of these nation builders. focus on that and the hard work put in by the team.” Although she did not take Ashneer’s name, it is quite evident that her tweet was directed toward him. Thapar also hit back at a netizen who claimed that Shark Tank India was not the real investors' pitch, it was just another reality show to gain TRP. She slammed the user clarifying that she has put her real money into the show and that it's easy to talk and whine and judge. The Twitter user asked her, “Mam TRP bhi kuch hota hai…its a show not a real investors pitch.” Responding to this, Namita Thapar wrote back, “Are u serious ? Coz it’s my ‘real’ money I’m putting in.. what do u mean by it’s not a real pitch ??!! It’s easy to talk & whine & judge … tough to give time, energy, mentorship & money..”
