Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is trending all over social media after his alleged WhatsApp chats with Sameer Wankhede went viral. The actor begged the former zonal director of the Mumbai Narcotics Control Bureau to be kind to his son Aryan Khan and not send him to jail when he was arrested in the drugs-on-cruise case in 2021. The WhatsApp chats between them were submitted in the court in Wankhede’s defense.
As reported by Free Press Journal, the screenshots from the chats have been shared online and it showed Shah Rukh begging Wankhede not to send his son to that jail. “Sameer sahib may I speak with you for a minute please. Regards shah rukh khan. I know this is officially inappropriate and maybe outright wrong but once as a father if I can speak with you. please. Love srk,” the actor started the conversation.
The chat further read, “Can't thank you enough for all the thoughts and personal insights you gave to me about my own. I will make sure that he turns out to be someone that you and I are both proud of. This incident will prove to be a turning point in his life I promise, in a good way. This country needs honest and hardworking young people to take it forward. You and I have done our PARTS THE NEXT GENERATION HAS TO FOLLOW and it's in our hands to mould them for the future. Thank you once again for your kindness and support . Love SRK,” Shah Rukh added. Soon after these WhatsApp chats got leaked on the internet, they divided the netizens. While some Reddit users expressed shock over how SRK can contact Sameer directly, others lashed out at Wankhede. Many fans sympathized with the actor defending how he would have been desperate as a father. Slamming the former NCB officer, one Insta user commented, “Sharam aani Chahiye Isko.” Another said, “how he can go to such extreme low.”
Meanwhile, CBI has filed a corruption case against Sameer Wankhede and raided his house. The CBI claimed that ex-office demanded Rs 25 crore from Shah Rukh Khan not to book his son in the drug case. Sameer has also been accused of hiding information regarding his foreign trips and buying expensive watches. The former NCB officer had recently appeared before the court and submitted his chats with SRK in his defense.
