Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic and cyclone Amphan in Kolkatta and Oddhisa, came in tragic news of the Pakistan International Airlines plane turning into ashes. Just a couple of hours ago, came the news of PIA plane from Lahore which was bound to touchdown at Karachi airport, crashed in a residential area, just at a little distance from the Jinnah International Airport. This news got the couple from the sports world, Indian tennis player Sania Mirza and husband and Pakistani Cricket player Shoaib Malik paying their condolence to the families who lost their closed ones in his mishap.

Replying to her husband’s tweet which read, “In the midst of great suffering, we witness yet another devastating tragedy. This loss will continue to remind us of the sanctity of human life & the many adversities we encounter. Thoughts & prayers for their families & loved ones. May ALMIGHTY bless them all eternal peace Ameen,” Sania prayed to the almighty to give the deceased families strength for this loss, continuing further to pay her condolences towards them in her tweet.

Sania’s tweet read, “May Allah have mercy and give strength to the loved ones of the deceased ..no amount of condolences can be enough .. Heartbreaking and so so tragic .. #piacrash”

Currently, Sania is in her hometown in Hyderabad with her son, Izhaan, whereas Shoaib is in Sialkot, Pakistan. In conversation with Indian Express, she said, “So he got stuck in Pakistan, I got stuck here. That was very difficult to deal with because we have a small child. We don’t know when Izhaan will be able to see his father again. It’s as basic as that.”
