South actress Samantha Akkineni recently took to her social media to apologise to Sara Ali Khan and Rakul Preet Singh. Samantha shared a string of posts in support of Sara and Rakul after NCB reportedly denied reports that claimed Rhea Chakraborty named the actresses during her interrogation. The reports about Rakul Preet Singh and Sara Ali Khan involvement in the consumption of drugs came after Rhea Chakraborty’s arrest. It was reported by Times Now that after Rhea Chakraborty’s arrest that she named Rakul and Sara along with other 25 Bollywood celebrities during her NCB interrogation.
Taking to her Instagram stories, Samantha Akkineni shared a string of posts extending her support to Sara Ali Khan and Rakul Preet Singh. The South actress wrote, “#SorrySara #SorryRakul,” and tagged Rakul Preet Singh in her Instagram stories. Samantha Akkineni re-posted a post of a report shared by a social media user. The social media user mentioned the report in Free Press Journal which quoted a Narcotics Control Bureau officer revealing details about Rhea Chakraborty naming Sara and Rakul during her interrogation.
As per the report, the NCB officer denied any such list of Bollywood celebrities being prepared by the agency. The report also stated that the deputy of Narcotics Control Bureau KPS Malhotra clarified that there is a list being prepared by the agency of peddlers and traffickers linked to late actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s case. He said, “We have not prepared any Bollywood list. The list earlier prepared was of peddlers and traffickers. It’s getting confused with Bollywood.”

Meanwhile, Times Now reported that Rhea Chakraborty confessed of her procuring drugs for late actor Sushant Singh Rajput and had revealed names of 15 Bollywood celebrities during her NCB interrogation. Later, the names of actresses Sara Ali Khan, SSR’s Kedarnath co-star and Rakul Preet Singh and designer Simone Khambatta came to light.
