Comedian Raju Srivastava passed away on 21st September at AIIMS hospital, Delhi. On August 10, he was rushed to the hospital after he suffered a heart attack while working out at the gym. He died weeks after he was put on a ventilator. Raju’s tragic demise has left everyone teary-eyed and heartbroken. Right from PM Narendra Modi to Bollywood celebs, heartfelt tributes are pouring in for Raju from all walks of life.  

Stars including Bharti Singh, Ajay Devgn, Vicky Kaushal, Anil Kapoor, Sonu Sood, comedian Sunil Pal and political leaders like Union Minister Th. Biswajit Singh, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and others took to social media to offer their condolences. PM Modi mourned Raju’s death by tweeting, “Raju Srivastava brightened our lives with laughter, humour and positivity. He leaves us too soon but he will continue to live in the hearts of countless people thanks to his rich work over the years. His demise is saddening. Condolences to his family and admirers. Comedy queen Bharti Singh told IANS that she spoke to Raju’s wife a few days ago and told her that he will be fine. Today, she learned about his demise during the shoot and she was left shocked. Singh added that as a comedienne she has learned a lot from the late actor and that his death is a great loss for the entire country. Raju Srivastava’s friend and colleague Sunil Pal told News 18 that he is still trying to come to terms with his sad demise. Pal called Raju a 'brave warrior' who fought till his last breath.

Raju Srivastava was one of the most popular comedians that we have in the industry. He rose to fame after he participated in the stand-up comedy show ‘The Great Indian Laughter Challenge in 2005. He also appeared in several films like Maine Pyaar Kiya, Tezaab, Baazigar and more. He is survived by his wife, son, and daughter.
