Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant are all set to tie the knot on July 12th, after a long engagement. The families recently hosted the soon-to-be-wed’s Haldi ceremony at Antilia, Mumbai, which was attended by many well-known celebrities. The bride-to-be stole the show with her gorgeous ensemble. Dressed in a beautiful yellow lehenga set, styled by Rhea Kapoor, she ditched her dupatta and instead adorned a a beautiful floral dupatta consisting of 90 yellow marigold flowers and 1000 jasmine tagar kalis.
Srishti Kapur, founder of Floral Art, in an exclusive conversation with News 18, shed light on the ‘Fresh Floral Tagar Jaal Dupatta’. She shared that the dupatta was a labour of love and artistry.
She said, “Radhika’s [Merchant] ensemble featured a fresh floral tagar jaal dupatta adorned with over 90 genda flowers and thousands of individual Tagar kalis. The accompanying jewellery, crafted from fresh white Tagar Kalis, yellow button daisy and Thai rui flower, included earrings, tops adorned with tassel strings, a double necklace, haath phool, and floral Kaleeras, all designed to complement the floral theme perfectly.”
She concluded by stating that it took an entire night for her team of artisans to created the dupatta. “It was undoubtedly the most challenging yet exhilarating 24 hours for us,” she added.
For those who don’t know, Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant will be tying the knot on July 12, 2024, in the presence of their family and friends. The three-day-long wedding ceremony will begin with their Shubh Vivaah, and then on July 13, Shubh Aashirwad will be hosted. The ceremonies will conclude with their wedding reception Mangal Utsav on July 14th. The ceremonies will be taking place at the Jio World Centre in Mumbai.
