Former royals Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have extended their support for the ones in Afghanistan. With the Taliban invading the country and putting the citizens through pain, the couple has donated for the women in Afghanistan. The former royal couple has donated to the Women for Afghan organisation through their Archewell foundation. These funds are targeted in evacuation missions of the women and children trapped in the tragic situation.
On receiving help from Archewell Foundation, the social media page of Women for Afghan foundation thanked them. Their social media post read, “We are immensely grateful for the generosity of the Archewell Foundation in support of our efforts to evacuate/relocate thousands of Afghan women, children, families, including our staff.” The post was followed by a link where the foundation urged people to donate to them. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle also released a statement speaking about the situation in Afghanistan and Haiti.
Haiti recently experienced a massive earthquake resulting in a tense situation. This statement was published on the former’s royals, Archewell site. A part of the statement read, “As an international community, it is the decisions we make now — to alleviate suffering among those we know and those we may never meet — that will prove our humanity.”
