Seems like a nail artists have taken the WHO's #SafeHandChallenge so seriously. While governments around the world are inspiring people with the help of celebrities and campaigns to exercise necessary precautions against coronavirus. There few nail artists and fashion artist are taking this campaign a bit higher and have amazed us with their weird take on self-love.

The latest trend which has caught the eyeballs of netizens is getting viral all over the social media, is coronavirus nail art. The snaps show nails decorated to look like sanitizers, 3D replication of coronavirus, nails donning a mask and even a few which says “stay safe”.  Here are a few designs that are aesthetically pleasing and caught our netizens eyeballs. 


A Russian artist, who put out quite a subtle nailart, in comparison to others following this bizarre trend. He took turquoise blue as the base, and designed figures looking at viruses over it with dark green. While doing so, she also asked her followers whether they liked it or not. While sharing her post to her instagram account she wrote, “Coronavirus nails! Yay or nay? I used: #lk164 tiffany #lk028 iron oxide green #lk030 dark green #lk494 yellow #lk178 clover field."

Taking things ahead, a California-based-artist, disappointed his/ her follower amid the coronavirus pandemic. In the shared photos, the nails can be seen wearing a 3D face mask, above another 3D figure, which is showcasing the coronavirus. Besides the fact, people called him “insensitive” carrying such nail art, especially when, one must maintain hand hygiene is highly impractical.


The artist’s post was flooded with comments and critics like “What is wrong with you,” “A little offensive and not really necessary 👎,” and “This is in VERY poor taste...” However,
few twitter users did find a positive outlook of this weird nail art.
