Delhi-based fashion influencer Nancy Tyagi took the internet by storm by wearing self-made outfits to the 77th Cannes Film Festival. Not only did she make India proud with her beautiful and stunning outfits, by she won everyone over by speaking to the reports in at the red carpet event in Hindi and using a translator. Now she has opened up about her personal life and made some heart-breaking revelations that left her teary-eyed. She explained how from a young age she saw her mother struggle and decided to help her out.

The 23-year-old influencer recently graced Ranveer Allahabadia's podcast, where she opened up about her life growing up. Shedding light on her mother, Tyagi expressed how the latter had to work at a hazardous and dangerous factory to earn a living. She went on to explain that while she didn’t want money, she wanted to earn enough so that her mother would stop going to the factory to work. Nancy stated that she sidelined her dream of completing 12th and graduation, to help her mother out. Toh haan, khatra tha udher, matlab waha pata chalta tha kisi ka aaj machine mein haath aa gya. Toh tension rehti thi ki humare sath na ho jaye aisa... Mai ro kyo rahi hoon... For those who don’t know, Nancy Tyagi started her journey on the busy streets of Sarojini Nagar market. She would often visit the market to gather materials for her clothes designs and film YouTube tutorials on how to make the outfits from scratch. Hailing from the Bhaghpat district in Uttar Pradesh, she moved to Delhi for her UPSC coaching. It was during the pandemic that her passion for fashion grew stronger.
