On Monday morning, he set out to vote during the Lok Sabha Elections 2024, along with his wife, founder of Reliance Foundation, Nita Ambani, and their elder son Akash Ambani. Photos and videos of them at the Malabar Hill polling booth have garnered attention. However, the eagle-eyed netizens also caught a glimpse of the business carrying her Aadhaar Card in a plastic bag. The observation has left the netizens elated.
In a video shared by the news agency, ANI, the Ambani family can be seen arriving at their voting station. It was after they got out of the venue, that the Ambani Sr is spotted holding his Aadhaar Card in a plastic bag. The family is quickly gathered by the media, as they show off their inked fingers. Nita Ambani is heard saying, “It is important as an Indian citizen to vote. It is our right and responsibility to vote. As soon as the video went viral, many hailed the 67-year-old businessman for his down-to-earth personality and his simplicity for carrying his Aadhaar Card in a transparent pouch like every Indian. Despite being one of the most influential families in India, Mukesh Ambani and his wife Nita Ambani made sure to raise their kids Akash, Isha and Anant with the same values they grew up with. During their appearance on Simi Garewal's chat show, Rendezvous with Simi Garewal, Nita had spoken about the same. She had said, “He is a very down-to-earth person and he wants his children to become good human beings. Mukesh always wants his children to understand the value of money and he says that money doesn’t grow on trees, rather one has to work hard to earn money.”
