Millie Bobby Brown has been making waves with her on-screen success as Eleven in Netflix’s Stranger Things and the titular character in Enola Holmes. The young actress is currently at the peak of her career for her choices and the 18-year-old recently got candid about her bucket list. Recently, Millie has expressed her desire to enact Britney Spears in front of cameras.
The Stranger Things fame revealed that she was ready to play a real person and the one she resonates with the most is controversial pop-star Britney.
In a conversation with Drew in the back of a car on Monday’s episode of The Drew Barrymore Show, Millie Bobby Brown was asked “What would you like to do next?” adding that it could be after Stranger Things wraps up or even years down the line.
Millie shared that someday she wishes to portray Britney Spears in a biopic about the singer’s tumultuous life.
The young actress said, “I wanna play a real person,” before adding that she wanted to portray Britney Spears. The 18-year-old Stranger Things star said, “I think her story, first of all, resonates with me.” Interestingly, Millie pointed out that they shared the same experience of “growing up in public” and explained that she had similar feelings when she would watch old interviews of the pop superstar.
She said, “Just growing up in the public eye, watching her videos, watching interviews of her when she was younger.”
She continued, “I mean same thing with you (Drew Barrymore)” – comparing her and Britney’s early experiences to Drew’s work as an in-demand child actress on films like E.T. and Firestarter. The Eleven fame actress added, “It’s like I see the scramble for words and I don’t know her, but when I look at pictures of her I feel like I could tell her story in the right way, and hers only.”
However, the Princess of Pop - Britney Spears wasn’t particularly happy with Millie Bobby Brown’s desire. She opposed the idea of creating a biopic about her life.
Addressing the same in her Instagram post, she wrote, "I hear about people wanting to do movies about my life... dude I'm not dead!!!"
Birt shared a picture of a door and wrote a lengthy post, critiquing the idea of biography as well as an explanation of her family's issues.
She wrote, "Good news, good news !!! Still breathing... it’s funny the same two people who gave me life are the same exact 2 people who took it away... but guess what !!! I’m alive and I’m breathing again !!!"
"I hear about people wanting to do movies about my life … dude I’m not dead !!! Although it’s pretty fucking clear they preferred me dead 🙄🙄🙄... I guess my family is going to lock their doors now 🤔🤔🤔🙄🙄🙄🤧🤧🤧 !!!... I did kinda post too much this week... I'm embarrassed !!! I get it... oh well !!! Have a good day ☀️ !!!" Spears wrote.
