Only yesterday, The Royal Family informed everyone that Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, husband of Queen Elizabeth II, passed away peacefully, leaving everyone grieving. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have also mourned the death of Prince Philip and wrote a short message on their website, Archewell Foundation, saying ‘In the loving memory of His Royal Highness, The Duke of Edinburgh 1921-2021 Thank you for your service … You will be greatly missed’. 

Reportedly, a date for Prince Philip’s funeral has not been set yet and it is said that Prince Harry is expected to come to the UK to mourn the loss of his grandfather after giving an explosive tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey. However, it is unknown if Meghan Markle will also join him as she is pregnant with her second baby which is said to be a girl. After the demise, many renowned public figures penned heartfelt tributes for the Late Royal Highness. Even the former president of the United States of America, Barack Obama wrote on his Twitter, “Through his extraordinary example, His Royal Highness Prince Philip proved that true partnership has room for both ambition and selflessness — all in service of something greater. Our thoughts are with Her Majesty the Queen, the Royal Family, and the British people.”

The Royal Family’s Instagram handle released an official statement regarding the same which read, “It is with deep sorrow that Her Majesty The Queen has announced the death of her beloved husband, His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. His Royal Highness passed away peacefully this morning at Windsor Castle. The Royal Family join people around the world in mourning his loss. Further announcements will be made in due course.”
