Unfortunately, fans of megastar Chiranjeevi will have to wait a little longer as the actor who was about to resume the shoot of his next film, has tested positive for COVID-19. Taking to his Twitter account he revealed that he tested positive for the Coronavirus. He also shared that he is asymptomatic and as a safety measure he has quarantined himself at his residence. Further, he urged people whom he met him in the last five days to undergo a COVID-19 test for their assurance and safety.
His tweet read, “Took a test for Covid before resuming Acharya shoot as a protocol and unfortunately tested positive. I am currently asymptomatic and quarantining myself at home. Request all those who met me in the last five days to also undergo Covid tests. Will update you on my recovery soon.”Chiranjeevi was about to resume the shoot of his Telugu film Acharya and just before he resumed shooting for it, he has contracted Coronavirus. The megastar will now have to rest it out before he gets back in action.
Acharya marks director Koratala Siva's first-ever film with the megastar.Reports state that the actor will be playing a double role in the film where he will be shown as a middle aged man, who turns into a social reformer. His aim is to curtail the mismanagement of the temple funds and donation as he fights it out against the Endowments Department.
