India is currently busy heaping praises on the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) scientist for achieving an unbelievable feat. With their determination and hard work, their recent Pragyan rover, Chandrayaan 3 successfully landed on the lunar south pole on August 23, 2023. As everyone is busy celebrating this success, West Bengal’s chief minister Mamata Banerjee congratulated the scientists for attaining the milestone through a speech. However, she became a target to trolls after she confused Bollywood filmmaker Rakesh Roshan with Indian astronaut Rakesh Sharma.

In a video that is currently going viral on X, formerly known as Twitter, she can be heard saying, “When last time Rakesh Roshan landed on the Moon, former PM Indira Gandhi asked him how India was looking from there.” Well, it is safe to say that this goof-up by the chief minister has left the internet in a frenzy as they have started flooding the social media with hilarious tweets and trending the Krrish director’s name.

Talking about the landing of Chandrayaan 3, ISRO launched the lander in July 2023. August 23rd, 2023 became a day to remember for every Indian as the country emerged as the first nation to land near the South Pole, which has become the hottest new destination since traces of water were found on the moon. According to the reports, over the next 14 days, the Pragyan Rover will send images and data from the surface of the moon. Following which, its activity is likely to slow down, given that it is powered by solar cells.
