Madonna has delighted her legion of fans as she shared pictures for the first time after being admitted to the hospital late last month for a serious bacterial infection. The latest post proves that the Queen of pop has been recovering from her recent setback.
In the first picture, Madonna can be seen hugging a sizable bouquet of pink roses while wearing a serene smile on her face. The other two selfies shared on Instagram Stories, featured the American singer cuddling with a purple stuffed animal. She holds a serious expression as she looks directly into the camera in the first.
In the second, she is partially concealed by the stuffed animal.
The recent posts come weeks after the singer opened up for the first time on Instagram on July 10 following her hospitalisation, thanking followers for their "positive energy, Prayers, and words of healing and encouragement."
"I have felt your love. I'm on the road to recovery and incredibly grateful for all the blessings in my life," she wrote. "My first thought when I woke up in the hospital was my children. My second thought was that I did not want to disappoint anyone who bought tickets for my tour. I also didn't want to let down the people who worked tirelessly with me over the last few months to create my show. I hate to disappoint anyone."
Unfortunately, following Madonna's health scare, The first leg of The Celebration Tour in North America was postponed. Live Nation announced the sad news in a press release and stated, “We'll let you know as soon as we have new dates. Fans are urged to keep their tickets because, once the new dates are revealed, they will still be valid.” The company continued, "The tour is currently scheduled to kick off in Europe in October."
