Queen of pop, Madonna on Monday shared her health update with her fans after she developed a serious bacterial infection which led to her being admitted in the ICU. Taking to her Instagram handle and penned a long note elaborating on her hospitalisation. She even expressed her gratitude towards her fans for their prayers and wishes.

Her note read: “Thank you for your positive energy, Prayers and words of healing and encouragement. I have felt your love. I'm on the road to recovery and incredibly grateful for all the blessings in my life. My first thought when I woke up in the hospital was my children. She also added, "I also didn't want to let down the people who worked tirelessly with me over the last few months to create my show. I hate to disappoint anyone. My focus now is my health and getting stronger and I assure you, I'll be back with you as soon as I can! The current plan is to reschedule the North American leg of the tour and to begin in October in Europe. I couldn't be more grateful for your care and support. Love, M."


Shortly after the singer-songwriter shared the note, her fans flooded the comment section with red heart emoticons and get well soon messages. One user wrote, "We love you so much you have never disappointed us.”

Another said, "Get better soon, can't wait to see you shine on stage. The world needs your bright light." A third Instagram user commented, "Blessings Goddess! Sending you Love Light! This is wonderful news!"

Weeks after Madonna was rushed to the ICU, after being found unconscious at her residence, her fans finally breathed a sigh of relief after she was spotted strolling in New York, indicating improvement in her health. 

The Queen of pop was seen in public for the first time since her health scare last month. 

Madonna had announced a Celebration tour to mark the completion of 40 years in the musical industry. However, the event was put on hold owing to the singer’s health scare. The Grammy Award winner was supposed to commence the tour on July 15 in Vancouver, Canada, before moving on to the US and Europe. The tour was planned to end in Amsterdam on December 1, reported Wion.
